During the global refugee crisis thousands of children became displaced. Alone they are at extreme risk of disease, death, trafficking, slavery and prostitution. Liber campaigned for the Dubbs' Amendment to change the law. Ensuring lone refugee minors would be given sanctuary in the UK.
Liber also worked on reuniting children who had become separated from their families during the arduous journey from their war torn homelands to safety in Europe.
One Syrian refugee mother Liber supported, describes her experience below.
On fleeing from Syria she became separated from two of her young sons aged five and six. She made it to the UK with her baby and Liber worked on ensuring her two separated children joined her from Turkey where they had become trapped.
