Liber was founded by a Director of a major Global Intelligence organisation, in direct response to an emergency call to prevent the imminent execution of seven prisoners of conscience. A trusted legal team was put together within the hour. The prisoners walked free after 42 days of hunger strike and legal action. Liber's remit has expanded over the years somewhat but the premise remains the same - to legally support the world's most vulnerable people. Delivering justice and effecting permanent and sustainable legal, political and social change.
